The Northern New England Infectious Disease Society is organized for the purpose of the advancement of science and the promotion of the infectious disease specialty. It is organized to promote high standards of medical practice among its members and colleagues in general or specialty fields; to afford opportunities for continuing medical education and the perfecting and learning of new skills; and to give the subspecialty of Infectious Disease Medicine a clear profile and voice in educating the public in local, state and regional public health policy debates.
